Part of the pleasure of a holiday is the time we can devote to our wellness. Enjoy a relaxing sauna, an invigorating massage, a soothing herbal tea, without paying attention to time, but completely in tune with the moment. Since ancient times, the Ladins have known the well-being that lies in water, hay, warmth and stones. And they have passed on their knowledge from father to son and constantly extended it to the present day. Whether you want to enjoy a thermal bath, a hay bath, a steam bath, a farmer's sauna or a stone massage in the various wellness areas of the corresponding hotels in San Vigilio or San Martin or in the public facility Cron4 in the Kronplatz dolomites region, your holiday gets that certain something here, which alone makes it an experience you can live off for a long time. And for those who want to strengthen their physique, or exercise in the dry on rainy days, the BODYtek gym in Brunico offers a wide selection of machines and equipment, combined with the experience of personal trainers, always at your disposal.
The first official documents mentioning the Aqua Bad Cortina spring date back to 1741.The spring rises at 1,240 m in the middle of the forest, not far from the village of San Vigilio, with a temperature of 6.5 °C and is officially recognised as a mineral water in South Tyrol. It is a sulphate-lime-magnesium thermal water that is microbiologically pure and was recognised by the Ministry of Health for balneofangotherapy in 2019. Pleasant on the palate, slightly salty, it is described as sulphate, fluorate, calcium, with iodine and traces of boron, barium, bromine and lithium. Ministry recognition has proven the great value of this water both for water purification (for drinking) and for bathing, especially recommended for rheumatic diseases, skin care and total relaxation of the sedentary body. You can drink this water and take a hot bath directly in the Aqua Bad Cortina - Hotel Thermal Bath.
