Europe‘s longest zipline starts at Piz de Plaies and will

The Museum Ladin „Ciastel de Tor“ is located in the
castle of San Martino in Badia and is dedicated to the inhabitants of the Dolomite Ladin valleys and to their history and culture.The local identity is based on the Ladin language, an ancient combination of dialects formed by the union of Latin, Rhaetian and Nordic languages.
In the Museum you can discover the handicraft traditions and customs of this alpine population, which evolved in conjunction with the extraordinary natural landscape.
The Museum Ladin Ursus ladinicus was opened
in St. Kassian in July 2011 and is dedicated to the
prehistoric cave bear and the geology of the Dolomites.
On three floors, visitors can learn everything
about the history and habitat of the cave bears
that lived around 40,000 years ago.
On display are original bones, teeth and skulls of
a new species of cave bear, the Ladin Ursus ladinicus. A separate section uses beautiful fossils to
illustrate the most important stages in the formation of the Dolomites.
